Philosophy
@ At the Life Science Research Center, we shall contribute to the creation of an affluent society by supporting research at this school in life science and related fields that will contribute to the development of advanced science and our society as well as by fostering individuals who will lead the development of next-generation life science.

Goals
@ In order to promote and support interdisciplinary research, we at the Life Science Research Center strive to provide a necessary, appropriate, and excellent research environment and techniques for animal experiment, molecular structure analysis, genetics experiment, and radioisotope experiment, in addition to providing education and technical guidance with regard to animal resources and development, molecular structure analysis, molecular genetics research, and radiation research, so as to comprehensively support education and research in life sciences and contribute to the latest research and development of education in life science.

2. Research Support
  • Producing genetically modified animals as well as maintaining and preserving transgenic animals
  • Supporting drug and structural research, and providing education and guidance on instrumental analysis techniques

  • Education and guidance on applications of radioisotope technology and radiation protection

3. Safe Control
  • Education and guidance on safety measures for animal experimentation as well as guidance and reviewing of animal experiment plans
  • Balance control of small-amount nuclear fuel materials and safety management of liquid nitrogen
  • Education and guidance on recombinant DNA experiments
  • Radiation safety management and education and training for people handling radioactive materials

4. Research and Development
  • Research and development concerning zoonotic infection, developmental engineering, and disease model animals
  • Studies on the structure-function relationships of proteins
  • Reconstruction of biological tissues in vitro and fine structural analysis of organisms
  • Research on radiation safety management and biological effects of low-dose radiation
