@How to Use the Facility
1. User Registration
  • All users must register oneself.
  • The registration procedure is described in the "Application for registration".
    Please consult your supervisor in advance.

2. Operating the Instruments
  • Reservations using the "Equipment Reservation System" are required for using most of the instruments.
  • In principle, users shall operate the instruments by oneself.
  • Beginners should receive guidance from the facility staff.
  • Some instruments require an operation license.
  • Operate the devices correctly. If you fail to comply with the prescribed operational procedure, acceptable use policy, or precautions, and consequently damage the facility or equipment, the costs of repair shall be charged to the laboratory you belong.
  • If the equipment becomes damaged or malfunctions, please report it promptly. The contact details of the management staff are posted on the equipment or the wall.

3. Filling Out the Logbook
  • Fill out the logbook correctly before and after using a equipment or facility.
  • The entry in the logbook shall be used for calculation of payment by the beneficiaries.
  • The record of use is also an important document for maintenance and requests for renewal of the equipment.
  • Please record any equipment defect.

4. Bringing in Articles
  • With regard to articles brought in, take them out when you finished the experiment. In cases of experiments conducted over consecutive days, please consult the facility staff.
  • If auxiliary devices must be brought in, please consult the facility staff.

5. Cleaning
  • Please keep the laboratories clean and uncluttered.
  • Please dispose of waste yourself.

@Open Hours
  • Except for maintenance or other special occasions, the facility can be used anytime even during holidays. However, for security and safety, it is desirable to use the facility only during office hours (9:00 - 17:00) of weekdays. Do not use the facility alone for work with danger during non-office hours.
  • Except for special occasions, the laboratories are kept locked even during office hours. Keep the issued card key at any time.

@Card Key Issuance
  • The card key issued by this division differs from the registered ID card of the other three divisions. It is not necessary to issue the card key to every registered users.
  • The card key shall be issued to laboratories or individuals in accordance with the convenience of each laboratory.
  • The issued card key shall differ depending on which equipment/room shall be used.

@Charge for Use
  • We will charge you for the consumables required for using the equipment according to your record of use.

@Guidance to Use the Division Facility
  • A guidance course for use of the division facility shall be held about twice a year together with a training course on the safe use of liquid nitrogen.
  • The training course on how to draw liquid nitrogen may be held on request. Contact the facility office for inquiry.

@Emergency Actions
  • Since the facility is equipped with various equipment and devices that can be used in various ways, unexpected accidents may occur.
  • To prevent accidents, please comply with the following regulations:
  • @1. Do not bring in dangerous articles.
    @2. When performing work with risk, do not use the facility alone.
    @3. Use equipment and devices correctly as prescribed.
    @4. Pay attention and caution each other with regard to the above regulations (1 to 3).
  • In the event of an accident, do not try to deal with it alone. First, seek help.
  • After ensuring your own safety, contact the facility staff and then strive to prevent the situation from worsening if possible.
  • The emergency contact number has been put up in all rooms.
